Loco for Carbon Coco

Being a self-proclaimed coffee-addict, I have tried a lot of products that promise to prevent and remove any teeth stains. Problem is, a lot of teeth whiteners use harsh chemicals that damage the enamel and cause teeth sensitivity. I was recently sent a few products from Carbon Coco that I have been trialling over the last month and after showing you my first impressions on InstaStories, I have had a few questions and requests for a full review.

Carbon Coco is an Australian owned company offering holistic alternatives to improve your oral health. They pride themselves on only keeping their ingredients simple, organic, all-natural and tried and tested.

I was sent their Ultimate Carbon Kit valued at $89.95, containing their Activated Charcoal Toothpaste, Tooth Polish and Toothbrush with Bamboo Bristles.

Activated charcoal helps remove stubborn stains from your teeth without using any toxic ingredients that are found in your typical teeth whitening products. Used together, the Ultimate Carbon Kit works to promote good oral health and can restore the pH levels, reduce the risk of cavities, gum disease and bad breath.

The advantage is that Carbon Coco is completely natural, containing 100% Organic Coconut Shell, Activated Charcoal with a hint of bentonite powder and lemon myrtle. The formula naturally whitens and polishes teeth, strengthens enamel and detoxifies your mouth without any chemicals and added nasties.

At first, the Tooth Polish can seem somewhat intimidating but it’s pretty easy to use once you get the hang of it. Simply dip your wet toothbrush into the fine, odourless and tasteless black dust before brushing in small circles for the recommended two minutes. Spit it out (without messing everywhere!) and rinse before using the Activated Charcoal Toothpaste.

The Activated Charcoal Toothpaste is fluoride free and is formulated to fight cavities, plaque, gingivitis, bad breath and keeps your mouth refreshed by reducing bacteria build-up for 12 hours, penetrating deep between teeth.

I have thoroughly enjoyed using Carbon Coco instead of my usual toothpaste. I find that the Activated Charcoal Toothpaste is very foamy, gentle on the teeth, and leaves them looking super clean. The Tooth Polish can become quite messy, and I’d prefer if they included one of those little powder sifters that is often included in translucent powders. However, after only a week, I noticed that a very stubborn stain on my top front tooth had started lifting and after two weeks, it was barely noticeable anymore. I have been using the Tooth Polish for about a month or even two, and the container is still pretty full, so I predict this one will last around 6 months, if not longer!

For more information and to buy your own Carbon Coco teeth whitening products, visit their website. They have various kits to suit your needs and budget and even include oil-pulling products which are next on my list to try. Although they’re based in Australia, they offer worldwide shipping. You can also follow them on Facebook and Instagram.
