18 Dec [CLOSED] Beauty Resolutions
The new year is almost here, and you may already be thinking about your resolutions. While it can be tempting to sign up to your local gym, attempt a new eating plan, take up a hobby or attend an e-class, there are also some things that you might want to change in your beauty regimen. To get you started, I am sharing some beauty resolutions, after all, there’s no better time to adopt new beauty habits.
Drink more water
You’re probably tired of hearing it, but drinking more water not only helps flush your body of toxins, but it does wonders for your hair, nails and skin. By sticking to your daily 8-glasses of water, you can expect clearer skin, stronger nails and shinier hair!
Applying sunscreen every day
Surveys show that only 30% of women are applying sunscreen regularly – shocking, when the risks of exposure range from photo-ageing, moles, sunspots, blemishes, wrinkles, and cancer. La Roche-Posay continues to be at the forefront of skincare innovations and offers an extensive range of dermatologist-recommended suncare that is suitable for the whole family.
The Anthelios Dermo-Paediatrics SPF 50+ Spray from La Roche-Posay is the sort of product that you always have in your beach bag (and nappy bag). It is ideal for the whole family and is especially convenient for busybodies, like my toddler son, as you can spray and go. The product is safe to use on your body and face and even boasts a water-resistant formula. The Anthelios Dermo-Paediatrics SPF 50+ Spray provides SPF 50+ protection against UVA and UVB rays, using patented filtering technology called Mexoplex and has been combined with their top-selling Thermal Spring Water, which works to soothe and refresh your skin (great in the heat of summer!). All in all, it is a handy product to have, especially great for impromptu beach visits, or when you’ve forgotten to put cream on the kids before going out on a playdate.
Remove your makeup before bed
Again, we all know that we should be removing our makeup before bed, so why is it so hard!? Even as a beauty blogger, I am still guilty of occasionally going to bed with my makeup still on. However, with products like La Roche-Posay’s Effaclar Micellar Water Ultra removing makeup and cleansing the skin at the end of each day, doesn’t seem like such a chore! When used, the micellar water works to naturally lift dirt, oil, makeup, and even pollution on contact, with no harsh rubbing. So, there’s no excuse – remove your makeup and save your skin!
Simplify your routine
Perhaps one of the biggest reasons for us not sticking to new year’s resolutions is that we always overcomplicate them or take on too much, too soon. Remember to start small, make some minor changes, set goals, reward yourself and then move onto something new, that’s a little more challenging.
Have fun and try something new
The beauty industry is constantly changing so why not have some fun exploring new and exciting brands and products. If you’re not used to wearing colour, try a bold red lip, or maybe go for a daring smoky eye and add a little highlight!

Blogmas – La Roche Posay
I am the blogger behind By Megan Kelly, mom of two boys, named Axl (5-years old) and Eli (1-year old), and local business owner of Dr. Design. I live on copious amounts of coffee, work as a community manager and digital marketer, and spend my free time listening to podcasts and bible journalling. I also enjoy baking fresh treats for my family, exploring our local city, and looking for new family-friendly places for our kids to enjoy. On the weekends, you’ll likely find me shouting at the soccer and showing my support for Tottenham, while pretending to know what I am doing in the Fantasy League. I can be bribed with chocolate and will never admit to having too much makeup – although, I probably do.
