01 Nov My Top 3 Wet n Wild Picks
It’s no secret that I am a huge of Wet n Wild and feel that it is one of the most underrated beauty brands of our time. Sure, American bloggers are starting to catch on, but locally few people seem to grasp just how great their products are, often rivalling (and even beating) the high-end brands. If you’re new to Wet n Wild, these are some of my most loved products from their range:
Wet n Wild Colour Icon Eyeshadow Palette in Comfort Zone
Without a doubt the best product that I own from Wet n Wild is their Comfort Zone palette which retails for R109 at Clicks. The eyeshadow palette offers 8 buttery-smooth eyeshadows that are rich in pigment and easy to blend. The palette even includes some helpful ideas and suggested looks that you can create using the shades available – great for when you feel stuck in a rut – but don’t fear getting creative with the shades either, as the shadows work well with each other making it a fail-proof palette. Personally, this is my go to and one that I never have to worry about trying to make work.
Wet n Wild MegaGlo Highlighter in Precious Petals
When I finally managed to get my hands on this gem, I immediately understood the hype and why it sells out so quickly. This isn’t a highlighter for those who are wanting something subtle. Nope, this is a blinding, “eyes on me!” highlighter that I have been dying to find from a drugstore brand. Wet n Wild’s MegaGlo highlighters have proven to be so popular in the US that they have even launched highlighter palettes that will hopefully become available locally too. Their highlighter formula is very smooth – no chunky glitter – and can build up to be a highlight so bright that NASA can probably see it from Mars. If you’re all about that glow, then this one is for you!
Wet n Wild MegaLast Liquid Catsuit Lipstick
Just as I was about to give up my search for a comfortable matte liquid lipstick, I stumbled upon Wet n Wild’s latest offering which retails for R99 from Clicks. If you managed to catch my Instagram story a few weeks ago where I trialled a bunch of new products for the first time, you might have seen how surprised and impressed I was by this lipstick. The Wet n Wild Liquid Catsuit Lipstick ticks all the boxes, by not only providing a vibrant finish but by also being a comfortable and long-lasting formula. I own three shades and have found each of them to last at least 6 hours without the need to touch up. By the 8th hour, there is a bit of feathering on the edges, but nothing major! What I like most about the Liquid Catsuit Lipstick is just how light the formula feels on the lips – I am so used to liquid lipsticks that are layered to make my lips feel like concrete, so it is refreshing to find a formula that is comfortable and non-drying.
So that is a round-up of my top 3 items from Wet n Wild (believe me, it was tough picking just three!) Which have you tried and which will you be adding to your cart, the next time you shop at Clicks?
