21 Aug [#365BeautyTips] Reviews of Products that I am Loving
The thirty- second week of #365BeautyTips has come to an end and as promised, I have put together a round-up post which puts all the beauty tips, shared this week, in one place. The idea is to share any extra information and answer the questions that you may have asked on my social media posts. Remember that if you want to stay up to date with my 365 days of beauty challenge, then follow me on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.
THIS WEEK’S THEME IS…
This week hasn’t been as great as I had anticipated and to be honest, life got the better of me. So, I have used the week to share products that I am loving, but also a bunch of products that I have recently featured and written about right here on the blog.
#365BEAUTYTIPS – DAY: 225
To kick off the week, I thought I would share my number one primer and a real gem from CATRICE. As I revealed last week, this is my secret to flawless foundation! Mixed in with any of my liquid foundations, the Beautifying Primer works to create a soft glow, perfect for a fresh spring or summer makeup look. I am amazed how this primer doesn’t thin my foundation or make it too sheer, it just works beautifully to create a highlight that looks healthy and dewy!

Last week, I also shared some of the ELANCYL range on the blog, in a month-long review. Right now, my favorite products from the range, are the body brush combined with their Activ’ Slimming Massage shower gel. I thoroughly enjoyed the firmness of their body brush and am so prone to seeing those old-school wooden body brushes, so welcomed ELANCYL’s one, that could be taken apart, cleaned and worked really easily to massage the area (plus, it makes for an incredible back massage!) It also has a really flexible and comfortable grip, that I ended up using the body brush whenever I could!
#365BEAUTYTIPS – DAY: 227
When there are a thousand things that I should be doing, I like to run away to the Lavender fields and that sometimes means taking Axl and his ninja turtles, with me. L’Occitane knows a thing about scent and whoah, it’s amazing! This rich formula of their Lavender Foaming Bath generously foams in the bath and offers all the relaxing benefits of Haute-Provence lavender. It leaves skin supple, clean and fragrant. Let the scent transport you to the rugged hills of Provence. As for their packaging, they use the brushed-aluminium bottle as a reminder of the metal bottles that were used in the past to hold fragrance essences.
#365BEAUTYTIPS – DAY: 228
Earlier this week, I dished all about the affordable skincare solutions from Creme Classique, perfect to aid the hormonal changes as you enter motherhood. I’ve been slathering on their evening mask to help sort out a stress-induced breakout. The Crème Classique Evening Mask dries out pimples and draws out even the most stubborn blackheads. Surprisingly, it didn’t leave my skin feeling dry or flaky but seemed to only treat my acne prone skin, revealing gorgeously clear skin by the morning. The mask must be used overnight to give it enough time to really get in there and work its magic, and can be used for a few days to clear up any stubborn spots.
#365BEAUTYTIPS – DAY: 229
An unexpected favorite has been this foundation from Essence called All About Matt in 15- Matt Cameo. I usually struggle with their foundations as it oxidizes or smells funny, but this has been a constant favourite for the last 2 months and paired with my CATRICE Prime and Fine Beautifying Primer (featured earlier) it makes for a gorgeous glowy look, not high coverage, but enough to cover spots and blemishes. I am impressed that it lasts for the better half of the day and is exceptionally affordable.
#365BEAUTYTIPS – DAY: 230
I know, I know! I am meant to be sharing beauty things that I love but I had my first article published in The Herald. Besides being immensely chuffed, I also LOVE baby to beauty tips because there are SO many uses for very affordable and gentle products found in your nappy bag. You won’t believe just how handy nipple (yes, you read nipple) balm is for your beauty routine. So I’m going to be cheeky, for the full article of all the tips, tricks and reasons to love baby powder and nipple balm, head over to my 1st article.
#365BEAUTYTIPS – DAY: 231
I don’t know if it’s the change of the season or a new shampoo, but my scalp is exceptionally dry and itchy. So I’ve pulled out this goodie to save the day, yet again. The Coconut Oil Formula from Palmers’ is called Strong Roots and has just a hint of eucalyptus scent that helps soothe the dryness. I usually spray my roots, and then keep my hair up in a messy bun.
And that is a wrap on the last 7 days. Whoop-Whoop! Remember that I love any feedback – what have you enjoyed seeing, what would you like to see more of and perhaps if you have any suggestions, questions or products you would like me to chat more about. I really enjoyed the themed days – what themes would you like to see next?
NEXT WEEK’S THEME IS…
I am the blogger behind By Megan Kelly, mom of two boys, named Axl (5-years old) and Eli (1-year old), and local business owner of Dr. Design. I live on copious amounts of coffee, work as a community manager and digital marketer, and spend my free time listening to podcasts and bible journalling. I also enjoy baking fresh treats for my family, exploring our local city, and looking for new family-friendly places for our kids to enjoy. On the weekends, you’ll likely find me shouting at the soccer and showing my support for Tottenham, while pretending to know what I am doing in the Fantasy League. I can be bribed with chocolate and will never admit to having too much makeup – although, I probably do.
