01 Dec Introducing Blogmas 2017
Can you believe that it’s already December? I know it’s a cliche, but the year has flown by. This year I have given my all to this blog – I have partnered with fantastic brands, learnt, grown and experienced but it wouldn’t be possible if it weren’t for all of you.
We always hear just how much work goes into a blog – a fact that I can never deny – but we also always seem so hung up on not having enough people reading or commenting on our blogs. As a blogger, it’s tough not to get caught up on the numbers, but whether you are getting 50 or 35,000 readers each month, it’s truly quite remarkable that there are people who have taken time out of their busy days to read through our blog posts.
To thank you for your support, I have partnered with some of my favourite brands who have supported me through the last 4 years to bring you a month full of giveaways, called Blogmas. To officially launch the month, I thought that I’d have a dedicated post sharing the details and what you need to know, with the first competition launching on Monday.
What is Blogmas?
Blogmas is traditionally a challenge to post every day of December, until Christmas. As you know, I love Christmas so I wanted to do something to share the festive cheer and thank you for your support throughout this year. To do this, I have partnered with some outstanding brands to put together a total of 15 individual competitions where you can win a daily prize, there is also a grand prize where you can stand the chance to win all 15 prizes!
When is Blogmas?
Blogmas will be taking place from the 1st – 31st of December, with new competitions launching every weekday until Christmas. The first competition will go live on the 4th of December, with the last going live on the 22nd of December. All competitions close on the 31st of December. Winners will be announced and contacted during the 2nd week of January.
Who can enter?
Anyone. Whether you have been reading my blog for 4 years, or 2 days, I encourage you to enter. I value your time and really want to thank you for being part of this journey.
How to enter?
Each day I will go live with a new blog post that will share some festive tips, gift ideas or ways to make the holiday season extra special. At the end of each post will be a competition widget where you will be able to enter the daily competition. There is only one compulsory entry mechanism – comment on the blog post. There are several optional entry mechanisms where you can earn extra entries (i.e. tweet, follow, like, share and subscribe). Unlike my previous competitions, you will also be able to earn additional entries for every person that enters the giveaways through your unique share link (provided through the widget.)
How do I enter to win the grand prize?
As mentioned, there are 15 daily giveaways where you can win one of the fifteen prizes. There is also a grand prize where you can win all 15 prizes in a combined hamper. To be entered to win, all you have to do is enter the competitions counting down to Christmas. Yep, no extra process, just participate in Blogmas!
It’s also important to note that the only compulsory entry mechanism is commenting on each blog post and adding your name to the Gleam Competition widget, found at the end of each post. While there are loads of other ways to earn extra entries like following me on social media, signing up for my newsletter and referring your friends, these are completely optional.
Are you ready?
Me too! This month is going to be hella crazy and loads of fun. I have spent the last 3 months working on making this a reality and I am so excited to finally click publish on the first post. The next month is going to be nothing short of the best but knowing that December is mad busy, I encourage you to like my page on Facebook, follow me on Twitter and Instagram and subscribe to my newsletter so that you don’t miss out on your chance to win!
