Transformers Transform Playtime

Transformers The Last Knight Toys - By Megan KellyI am the mom of two boys so it goes without saying that a lot of our time is spent racing cars, playing cops and robbers and watching movies that have super heroes and bad guys. Recently, my kiddo discovered Transformers – which he calls bots (from Autobots), so he kind of lost his mind when he received his very own press drop to promote the latest range of toys from Transformers: The Last Knight.

If you’ve been following the Transformers movies, the last installment, Transformers: Age of Extinction, ended with Optimus Prime leaving Earth to find his creators in hopes of putting an end to the war between Autobots and Decepticons. The latest movie, Transformers: The Last Knight, has hit theatres and promises to be action packed with Optimus Prime discovering the history behind his creation and even becoming Nemesis Prime, who tries to destroy our Earth!

On Earth, humans and Transformers go to war. The Autobots together with the unlikely alliance between Cade Yeager, an English Lord and an Oxford Professor, will need to dig up the secrets of the past and the hidden history of Transformers on Earth, in order to save the human race.

Transformers: The Last Knight is filled with action and suspense; The hunted will become heroes, heroes will become villains and only one world will survive: theirs, or ours?

Whatever the ending, Hasbro has created the most incredible range of toys for you and your kids to recreate your favourite scenes of the movie. From a voice changing helmet, to mini figurines, 1-step Turbo changing figurines and legion class figurines – your Transformer loving kid is bound to get excited and love them all.

We received Optimus Prime from the Legion Class Figurine range, which boasts quality and detail. What I personally like is how easy he transforms from being a truck to an Autobot. I mean, I have purchased other transformer-like toys which have quite literally given me gray hairs and have had an unfortunate meeting with the bin (please don’t tell my kids) but these figurines are easy to move and simple to transform. I easily get frustrated with toys because they’re meant for kids, but are so damn difficult to use – these are simple, fun to play with and have become the centre of some of the most incredible imaginative play. We love Optimus Prime so much, that I believe Santa has already been asked for Bumble Bee (so I best keep an eye out for him!)

The Transformers series is one of my favourites; it offers action, amazing cars, crazy and believable footage and an awesome story to boot. If you haven’t already seen the movies, be sure to catch up on them (they’re on Netflix!)
