Today, I thought that I would share a little bit more about me and my Christmas pasts. This is a fun TAG challenge, and if you’d like to participate, be sure to copy + paste the questions and answer them for yourself! Without too much blabbering, let’s get right into it!
1. What is your favourite Christmas Movie/s?
I freakin’ love Christmas, so I usually start watching Christmas movies some time in November. I will be putting together a more specific list of my favourites, for an upcoming blog post, but I love corny Christmas romances, comedies and have a weird obsession with the ones where they visit your past, present and future – I love the lessons to them.
2. Do you open your presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas morning?
3. Do you have a favourite Christmas memory?
4. Favourite festive food?
Gamon and baked pineapple is probably something that I am most fond of, as an adult. But as I said before, cherries wrapped in bacon always reminds me of Christmas as a kid. Oh! And this year, I have asked my dad to make a Portuguese favourite which is bread boilt in milk with lemon zest and then dunked in egg, fried and dipped in cinnamon sugar. If it is anything like I remember from about 16 or so years ago, it is freakin amazing!
5. Favourite Christmas gift ?
6. Favourite Christmas scent?
7. Do you have any Christmas Eve traditions?
Other than what I mentioned above, nope, not really. Every year we buy a tree and pick decorations before putting it all up together as a family, and then I wait for everyone to go to bed before correcting the tree (OCD). I also always buy a set of paint-your-own-decorations and let Axl go wild. I have done this for two years now, and hope to continue the tradition with the welcoming of number 2, next year. This year is the first year that Axl sort of understands Christmas and that Santa is coming. I am guessing that next year is going to be the year that we create several new traditions. I still want to create a Christmas Eve box though!
8. What tops your tree?
A battery operated light-up star.
9. As a kid what was the one (crazy, wild, extravagant) gift you always asked for but never received?
A hand-held candy floss maker. My mom then later bribed me and said if I get my injection, she’ll buy it for me. Still waiting, mom! Still waiting.
10. What’s the best part about Christmas for you?
