THIS WEEK’S THEME IS…
This week’s guest is Bianca from Run Padfoot Run, who was very excited to take part in my #365BeautyTips challenge and then followed up with, “this is a lot harder than it seems!” HAHA! Yes, yes, almost 250 days in and I keep wondering why on earth did I sign myself up for a 365-day challenge. But ey, it’s the last haul, so let’s get on with it. Bianca recently discovered her love for gym and running, and shares her journey on her blog. You can also like her on Facebook to keep up with the latest.
#365BEAUTYTIPS – DAY: 239
I have really bad psoriasis, so when I heard about a natural shampoo bar I had to give it a try. Jumping Juniper is a shampoo bar made by you guessed it… LUSH. It gives hair a deep clean and helps regulate sebum production, clearing the scalp. In addition, LUSH also used calming lavender and antibacterial rosemary essential oils to soothe and cleanse the scalp which means that unlike any other shampoo, it doesn’t irritate my scalp and of course, smells better than medicated shampoo. I combine the shampoo bar with their Sugar Daddy-O conditioner which works to keeps blonde hair from going brassy and leaves hair luxuriously soft. It even works on dark hair. Bonus! As with all LUSH products, it is full of nourishing ingredients and this one boasts a hard to beat duo of natural oils; extra virgin coconut oil and argan oil. A little goes a long way and the scent lasts all day!
#365BEAUTYTIPS – DAY: 240
Of course, going to gym 4 days a week can wreak havoc on anyone’s hair! I tend to wash my hair twice a week but for every other day, there is always dry shampoo. I picked this one up from a pharmacy recently, I am not familiar with THE Beauty Formulas brand but have been quite impressed with the results thus far. Much to my liking, it doesn’t leave any white residue on the hair and has a pleasant smell but best of all, it does the job and controls any excess oil, to ensure fresher looking hair. Again, it doesn’t aggravate my psoriasis.

Cafe Du Bains’s Shower Creme in Coconut Macaroons is my way of indulging right after gym! The smells is absolutely delectable and the thick, creamy formula leaves my skin feeling soft and moisturized. After a session in the gym, you want to smell nice and I can’t think of anything better than this soft coconutty scent.
#365BEAUTYTIPS – DAY: 242
For my skin, I use the hydrating range by Yves Rocher, on a daily basis. The range is excellent for removing all the sweat and grime from my face after a hard session with my personal trainer. Unlike other ranges that I have tried, it doesn’t strip my skin of its natural oils and still leaves my face feeling hydrated and nourished, with a glowing complexion looking fresh and renewed for the day ahead.
#365BEAUTYTIPS – DAY: 243
I doubt anyone needs an introduction to this beauty! I trust Mitchum for a 24-hour day. I always apply just before my workout, for that Mitchum fresh smell and again, after my shower to get me through my day! I like that it is fast drying, doesn’t leave any marks and certainly doesn’t become annoyingly sticky!
#365BEAUTYTIPS – DAY: 244
In case you haven’t noticed, I have a theme – freshness! After a hectic session at the gym, I want to feel confidently fresh before I head out to face my colleagues, customers and the rest of the world. To do so, I spritz the epitome of freshness from Elizabeth Arden. Their Green Tea scented spray has an uplifting effect on my mood, with a light scent that lasts throughout the day.

As for my makeup essentials, my go-to products are my Stila Foundation, Woolworths eye pencil o and Avon Mascara. P.S. The Stila Foundation comes with its own matching concealer and we all love 2-in-1 bargains, ey?
And that is a wrap on the last 7 days. Whoop-Whoop! Remember that I love any feedback – what have you enjoyed seeing, what would you like to see more of and perhaps if you have any suggestions, questions or products you would like me to chat more about. I really enjoyed the themed days – what themes would you like to see next?
