The nineteenth week of #365BeautyTips has come to an end and as promised, I have put together a round-up post which puts all the beauty tips, shared this week, in one place. The idea is to share any extra information and answer the questions that you may have asked on my social media posts. Remember that if you want to stay up to date with my 365 days of beauty challenge, then follow me on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.
THIS WEEK’S THEME IS… PRODUCTS I’M LOVING AT THE MOMENT
#365BEAUTYTIPS – DAY: 133
I know, I know, we’ve already had the Mascara Wars, and yes, I probably do have too many mascaras but nope, I am going to keep collecting them. This is the new launch from GOSH, called Double Precision Mascara, as it has not one but two wands to target both your upper and lower lashes. The wide conic shape of the wand targeted at your upper lashes gives extreme volume, while the bottom lashes are defined by the smaller brush, it also allows you the flexibility to get right into your lash line and coat even the tiniest of lashes. The formula is clump free, dries quickly and doesn’t do that annoying thing of getting all your lashes stuck together. I like the convenient packaging, the idea of getting two-for-one and all for lashes that make me go, “Oh my Gosh!”. (I couldn’t resist) Overall, I am a fan of this one, more so than my last Gosh mascara, as I find these wands are better for small eyes and grabbing those itty bitty lashes.
#365BEAUTYTIPS – DAY: 134
Recently, I have been going on and on about Morgan Taylor, and for good reason. I have quickly become such a fan of their thin and highly pigmented formula that I want all of their shades – ALL of them, guys! So Morgan Taylor gets my urge and have made it easier on my wallet by offering these mini kits which include 4 polishes from their incredible range. For Mother’s Day, I picked up the ‘Kung-Fu Panda 3’ kit which arrived at Sorbet Walmer Park 2 weeks ago. I am loving the 3rd shade in Kung Fu-chsia (how cute is that name?) Much to my liking, my little collection of Morgan Taylor is growing and with each mani, I am even more blown away by the quality, pigment and longevity of their range.
#365BEAUTYTIPS – DAY: 135
I’ve recently stocked up on a whole bunch of new budget goodies but a range that really stood out is the lovely limited edition ‘Treasure Trove’ collection from CATRICE. The eye-shadow pallette which I purchased for R140.95 features 3 matte shades and 5 pearlescent shades. The packaging is absolutely phenomenal and is a pretty good selection of nude and warm tones which could be used everyday on their own, or as transition colours for more advanced looks. I also picked up 2 of the 3 lipsticks from the range, namely C02- Caviar & Champagne which is a beautiful pinky-coral colour (great for spring!) And absolutely nothing like what I usually wear. Of course, I grabbed C03 – Treasured Twinkles which is an almost “toned down” red colour, perfect for every day or more casual looks. Again, a mention to the absolutely gorgeous packaging of these lipsticks with tiny star-engravings all over the cap. The lipsticks are pigmented, moisturizing and an absolute must! I have to admit that CATRICE really have been bringing it lately, and I’m loving every one of their new launches.
#365BEAUTYTIPS – DAY: 136
So I have FINALLY tried LUSH, thanks to the lovely Leigh who treated me for Mother’s Day. Admittedly, I have already placed my own order and have claimed defeat at staying away. I completely understand the hype and obviously have to try everything. One of the treats I have really enjoyed is The Comforter which thanks to some insider tips, I cut into quarters because it makes SOOOOOOO many bubbles. On this particular day of trying The Comforter, my day started off with a few “I got bad news” calls, followed by a clingy toddler with the sniffles, all my blog’s content from the last 3 years being deleted by le husband, who eventually managed to recover it but by the time the sunset and my day had come to an end, I NEEDED a warm hug from an indulgent bath, with this heavenly scented fruity black current bubbler. Honestly, I’ve never seen that amount of bubbles in a bath (without using an entire bottle of bubbles and still falling somewhat short). I love that I was able to get 4 comforting and uplifting baths from a single fruity scented bar, especially as the scent is addictive and who can stay mad when they’re covered in bubbles? Certainly not me!

I’ve said it before and I will say it again, CATRICE has been killing it with their latest launches so it should come as no surprise that they’re dominating this week’s theme. I have so much love for their new Prime and Fine Professional Contouring Palette in the shade 020 Warm Honey. This formula is so buttery that it sort of just melts into your skin. I love that the highlighter is wearable for an everyday “practical” look while the contour shade can be buffed out into a subtle contour or built up for a more defining look. The kit also shows a simple how-to at the back, which can help those who haven’t quite mastered the contoured look just yet. Overall, a compact gem, great quality, matte finish, exceptionally affordable and always on trend.
#365BEAUTYTIPS – DAY: 138
I thought I would take a break from all the CATRICE love and give some love to their sister brand, Essence. I’ve long been a fan of their Matte range but recently saw their new addition in the shade 17-Hot Brownie. With the rising popularity of brown matte lips, I thought this would be the perfect shade to add to my growing collection. The colour is a little redder than I had first expected but being such a fan of red lippies, it is always welcomed! The colour is sort of like red-brick or a deep burgundy shade. Unlike most matte lipglosses, this formula does not dry like cement and feels smooth and silky, like butter cream. As always the formula is good pigment and for the price, a real winner for your handbag.

Last on my list of products that I’m currently loving, this week, is this stunning brow palette from Eylure. The packaging is similar to that of a Sleek palette – matte black with stunning lettering on the outside. The palette boasts a eyebrows wax to hold your brows in place, a powder to fill in gaps and a highlighter for the brow bone. The quality is phenomenal with the powdered products being creamy smooth, and highly pigmented, giving your brows that daring Cara Delevingne appeal. These sorts of sets are especially great if you’re a beginner and I’m mighty impressed by the entire range on offer from Eylure which makes my brow addicted heart skip a beat. Most of all, I love that this little gem is conveniently sized and weighted, so oozes quality!
And that is a wrap on the last 7 days. Whoop-Whoop! Remember that I love any feedback – what have you enjoyed seeing, what would you like to see more of and perhaps if you have any suggestions, questions or products you would like me to chat more about. I really enjoyed the themed days – what themes would you like to see next?
