If you’re looking for a new pair of boots to see you through the winter, you may have some trouble settling on just one pair. Rubi by Cotton On has an extensive range of winter accessories that will have you cosying up in the latest trends, with no real effort.
In April, we started seeing a modern seventies look, with luxe layers and a sleek take on the winter boot. I wasn’t too sure if I really liked this look, but Rubi did a good job of convincing me that you can look effortlessly chic with a few simple staples that are interchangeable, on-trend and much to my liking, comfortable while still looking on point.
Trend Alert: The Urban Traveller
I am not an experienced traveller and I certainly don’t travel well – car sickness, humidity and small spaces are just not for me. I remember as a kid (and even as an adult, today) we’d stop at a garage during one of our long road trips and always wondered to myself how so many of the girls queuing outside the bathroom, still looked so fresh. They looked like they had just stepped out of a salon, dewy clear skin and not seeming to hate the idea of car trips, wearing a bra (or shoes) as much as I did… or still do.
This trend may not match my idea of travelling, but I certainly am envious of the places she will go. I kind of want to play dress up and just pretend I am a tourist in my own city, wearing trendy clothes that have me feeling like I am an experienced urban wanderer.
Neutrals, mixed with textured warm tones through knits and layers give this look its soft seventies-feel. High shaft seventies inspired boots with sleek updates to the traditional block-heel lead the way for the urban traveller look.
