The fifteenth week of #365BeautyTips has come to an end and as promised, I have put together a round-up post which puts all the beauty tips, shared this week, in one place. The idea is to share any extra information and answer the questions that you may have asked on my social media posts. Remember that if you want to stay up to date with my 365 days of beauty challenge, then follow me on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.
THIS WEEK’S THEME IS… TRAVEL ESSENTIALS
D, Axl and I slipped away for a 2 nights stay at Bushman’s Sands Golf Estate which prompted a quick share of some of my favourite travel essentials. For two days, I literally did nothing – we had no expectations, plans or schedule, no laptop or internet – it was just quiet and had me looking like this… at 2pm on Sunday.

Whenever I am heading ANYWHERE, I make sure to pack my Celltone Skin Care range which allows you to easily take your skin care wherever you’re traveling and is conveniently sized so that you don’t even need to worry about having to question whether your toiletries will pass airport regulations and is ideal for cabin luggage. The handy pack comes with the full face care range which includes the Celltone Facial Wash, Celltone Exfoliator, Celltone Cleanser, Celltone Toner, Celltone Mask and Celltone Moisturiser. The range is gorgeously presented in a clear pouch and comes with a free 60ml tissue oil to keep your skin feeling and looking fresh, especially great for when your skin dries after swims in the pool, or long flights and drives! Having bangs means that I need to pack a hair straightener and obviously I am thankful that my Veaudry International myStyler Colossal already comes in a convenient travel bag, as well as there being no need to worry about finding a nearby plug as the wire is around 3m long, so whether near or far, I can always reach power and straighten my hair with ease. The myStyler boasts the use of natural Tourmaline Technology that ensures the protection and natural smooth finish with every style. The idea is that unlike other stylers, your hair will maintain its natural moisture and shine through the use of the semi-precious crystal, Tourmaline.

Nobody has the time for drying time or chipped nails, while on holiday, which is why I opt for Revlon‘s ColorStay Gel Envy. Unlike most nail polishes that boast gel-like qualities, Revlon’s formula doesn’t bubble and really does make nail polish last longer. I am a fan of this colour in 405 Berry Treasure, the perfect shade for the transition from Summer to Autumn.

Another goodie for your travel kit is a new fav from Caribbean Tan, which is their Bronzing Milk. A rather innovative product which not only offers mild sun protection but also gives an instant bronzed look. As summer draws to an end and your tan starts fading, this product is great to see you through the transitional months, staying tanned for longer. The bronzing milk is SPF 15 and boasts tan-enhancing ingredients which help you tan faster in the sun, to help cut down on your sun time. The instant tint does wash off with water, so have fun in perfecting the art of splashing evenly.

As some people had pointed out, my skincare routine didn’t include a high SPF cream, which is why I opted for packing Nimue Skin Technology International‘s Sun-C which offers a whopping SPF40. I have mentioned this product in a previous review and I stand by me saying that the light-weight formula is non-sticky, non-smelly and non-oily and that quite possibly the best part is that it doesn’t make your face 10 shades lighter. The sunscreen is also fast absorbing, so allows for normal makeup application to follow, that won’t have your foundation melting down your face like a sad clown. It offers a dual focus in providing a certified high broad spectrum UVA/UVB protection and anti-aging benefits to assist in reducing and preventing the visible signs of photo-aging. Nimue also offer a tinted variant that offers light coverage, which I am dying to try!

I opt for keeping my makeup pretty simple and include items that have multiple uses or offer versatility. For my skin, I really don’t bother with high coverage foundations whilst on holiday, and prefer something that will let my skin breathe while covering my blemishes so have chosen the Yardley Oatmeal foundation in the shade ‘Oatmeal’. The NYX Bohemian Chic Palette undeniably offers a HUGE range of neutral eyeshadows that can be used to create anything from a simple toned-down look to a daring smokey-eye. The palette also packs 6 darker eyeshadows and 2 blushes (pink and peachy) the shadows are pigmented and thanks to the incredible range of nudes and browns, you’re bound to find a shade for your brows too. After my recent post on how you can use cream eyeshadow in so many different ways, I have started keeping one in my handbag for a quick pop of colour that lasts all day long, this one from Essence is in the shade ’03 Indian’s Lifestyle’ and is a great addition to any look. I also included the cream to powder Soo blush! from Essence in the shade ’20 Everything is better in pink’ as dewy- glowy cheeks are always flattering, and the product can be doubled up as a tint for your lips, too. Speaking of lips, I packed a rosy-pink liquid lipstick from Essence in the shade ‘Make a Statement’ which offers high pigment with a glossy finish. Last but certainly not least, I never leave home without a mascara and lately I have been crushing (HARD) on GOSH‘s Double Precision Mascara which is absolutely incredible at creating va-va-voom lashes that just keep going – I don’t want to share too much as I have a full review planned soon (so keep an eye on that!)
And that is a wrap on the last 7 days. Whoop-Whoop! Remember that I love any feedback – what have you enjoyed seeing, what would you like to see more of and perhaps if you have any suggestions, questions or products you would like me to chat more about. I really enjoyed the themed days – what themes would you like to see next?
