The fourteenth week of #365BeautyTips has come to an end and as promised, I have put together a round-up post which puts all the beauty tips, shared this week, in one place. The idea is to share any extra information and answer the questions that you may have asked on my social media posts. Remember that if you want to stay up to date with my 365 days of beauty challenge, then follow me on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.
THIS WEEK’S THEME IS… HAIR, SKIN, AND MORE
#365BEAUTYTIPS – DAY: 98
Elizabeth Arden is famously known for their 8-hour range and specifically their award-winning skin protectant which is on anyone’s beauty-favs list. The balm helps to calm, protect and hydrate skin while packing a number of uses which vary from an incredible lip balm, after-sun treatment, brow gel, cuticle oil or for calming irritated skin from shaving, rashes or break-outs. The cream locks in moisture for up to 8-hours, while soothing and treating your skin, delivering the best results. I feel that this balm is most definitely worth the investment and certainly a good sample to start off the new theme.
#365BEAUTYTIPS – DAY: 99
Now that I think about it, I don’t think that this is actually a sample size but I had it as part of a free gift. The Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Eye had my tired mom-eyes looking younger by the morning. The scent is heavenly and aromatic with a beautiful blend of infused natural ingredients, the same that is found in their infamous Midnight Recovery Concentrate with added Butcher’s Broom, which works to improve microcirculation and helps reduces inflammation. The formula helps eliminate fine lines and wrinkles that appear around the eye area and reduces puffiness and dark under-eye circles. Let’s cut the technical talk and just admit that this baby needs a place in your makeup bag and while she may be small, she packs quite the punch in helping resolve under eye issues. If I am honest, I haven’t tried Kiehl’s products, other than their baby wash, but after trying this gem, I am ready to hand over my bank card.
#365BEAUTYTIPS – DAY: 100
#365BEAUTYTIPS – DAY: 101
I found this in my gown, when I last visited Africology Skincare & Spa at The Boardwalk Hotel and figured that just because my visit is long overdue, it doesn’t mean that I can’t still get a tiny taste of their luxury spa products. Their sleep gel is known to be found on the huge, comfy, pillows of fancy hotel rooms as a little bedtime treat, for guests, to help calm and relax them after a long day of being… well fancy enough to be in a 5-star hotel, of course! The gel is infused with.. you guessed it – lavender oil and when gently massaged on your temples, can help relieve stress and calm you, ensuring a better night sleep.
#365BEAUTYTIPS – DAY: 102
The Clarins Double Serum is an all in one, no fuss anti-aging product that is suitable for women aged 25 and up. The idea is that it targets anti-aging concerns no matter your age, skin type or skin tone. It’s an intensive treatment that boasts 20 plant extracts as its ingredients, to help improve the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines, and regain your skin’s natural glow by restoring your complexion. My sample pack included 7 sachets, which I started using on the previous Sunday. I am really loving how it absorbs into the skin and leaves it feeling nourished and of course, the overall improvement of the texture of my skin.

Another sample test from Africology Skincare & Spa. This time it’s their Marula Conditioning Body Oil. If luxury ever had a scent, it would be this. The serum is infused with marula oil, rooibos and neroli oil to soften the skin and reduce the signs of aging through its anti-stress action. Like most oils, it works best right after a bath or shower, while your skin is still warm and damp so that it absorbs and locks in moisture, making the results more effective.
#365BEAUTYTIPS – DAY: 104
It’s the last sample for the week which features a variety of shampoo samples from Davines South Africa. I happened to try the Calming shampoo which is ideal for sensitive scalps as the formula works to soothe and calm the scalp. This variant of their shampoo contains phytoceuticals extracted from blueberries and is rich in polyphenols & sugars, known for their anti-inflammatory power. It wouldn’t be my own review, if I didn’t a comment on the scent, which is fragranced with patchouli essential oil – DIVINE!
And that is a wrap on the last 7 days. Whoop-Whoop! Remember that I love any feedback – what have you enjoyed seeing, what would you like to see more of and perhaps if you have any suggestions, questions or products you would like me to chat more about. I really enjoyed the themed days – what themes would you like to see next?
