13 Oct Review: OH!Boy
I feel horribly bad for delaying this post for so long! Truth is, life happened and I kept putting it off because I wanted to word this in a way that really shows how awesome Ella truly is.
I am in absolute awe of what Ella has managed to do in such a short time and pretty envious of how crafty she is. In case you didn’t know, Ella is a fellow Port Elizabeth based blogger over at Just Ella Bella. I had no idea these kind of people even existed – PE bloggers are scarce – until she managed to track me down and featured me in an interview. Though I haven’t met up with her often, when I do get the chance to see her, her energy and enthusiasm is so contagious that it makes you want to wake up at 5am everyday, to conquer something new.
A few months ago, Ella contacted me to ask more about my job and what it is like working from home. I didn’t think too much of it and then one day, I saw she gave up her long time corporate job to start her own business from home called Oh!Boy. This girl has courage and her ability to craft things out of nothing is something that I will never get over.
The cutest package arrived for my kiddo, not so long ago – okay, I lie! It was like 2 months ago, sorry! The package contained a cute infinity scarf, a trendy bib/bandanna styled scarf and two busy bags. The busy bags are what I am most excited about and I could probably write forever and a day about how these little treasures have saved me from a toddler melt-down, in the middle of a restaurant, just about a billion times.
Busy bags are little draw strings bags that contain fun and exciting things to keep your tot busy on long trips or while you’re out and about. What makes it so convenient is that you’re able to toss everything into their little bag, which is small enough to slip into your handbag. The first busy bag had a little notebook and crayons. Do you know how much my kid likes to draw? Way too much! Do you know how often I have crayons and a notebook on me? Absolutely never. Well, Oh!Boy changed that with their busy bags!
The second busy bag is my favourite because it really does keep Axl (and dad) busy. It contained a little wooden tray which was painted with chalkboard paint so that you could draw with the supplied chalk. Inside the little tray sits plenty little wooden blocks which encourages creative play or in Axl’s case, crushing every tower that dad builds.
All of the products that we received were really great quality and made well. Being a mom, herself, I can see how no shortcuts were taken and can only imagine how many late nights she has had to face. Oh!Boy’s range continues to grow and I am forever stalking her Instagram account for her newest products. I have my eye on these toy bags, which help with sorting and have a handy little see-through part so you can see what’s inside without even opening it!
Here are some more awesome products that she has recently shared – don’t you think Aidy is the luckiest boy ever? Also, I just love his curls!
Thank you Ella for being such an outstanding inspiration and for sending over these goodies. You are going to kick ass at this work from home thing. Well done on reaching for your dreams, girl!
