29 May Review: HEAN Blusher Balls
When news just broke of Glamore bringing HEAN cosmetics to SA, I was pretty stoked to try the blusher balls which sat top on my wish list. It’s been awhile since I received this goodie and about time that I share my thoughts.
Sadly, postman Pat wasn’t all that gentle when delivering my parcel, so quite a few balls were broken in their travels to my makeup shelf. However, the balls that survived are still serving me well and are a firm favorite to brightening up my makeup look.
These pearly blusher balls are delicate and add just a hint of luminous shine. With light hues of pink and bronze, they pretty much suit anyone and are easy to use. Instead of having to learn how to highlight and contour, you just use an ordinary blush brush to sweep some across your cheek bones and t-zone, adding depth to your everyday makeup look.
I often worry about powder looking cakey or bronzer making me look dirty. With these blusher balls, that wasn’t the case. The texture is as delicate as the balls, themselves, keeping my overall makeup looking light and effortless. I also liked that adding the blusher over my t-zone added to longevity of my foundation. It’s also important to remember that this is not a bronzer but a highlighting formula, so should be applied in places you want the natural light to hit.
It’s definitely a must have for summer and spring looks that call for lighter and brighter makeup. The only downfall is it’s rather messy, so you have to be careful whilst handling the packaging especially if you’re a mom who has a toddler on your lap, while doing your makeup… Just me?
