17 Apr Review: Rodial Stemcell Super-Food Cleanser and Mask
Price: R750, Available from selected Edgars stores
Following my last review of Rodial’s masque, I was really excited to give their 2-in-1 cleanser and mask a try. Honestly, just the packaging was enough to sell me! They really do have some of the best packaging.
The smell is clean and for some reason, reminds me of a cream that my gran would use on herself, when I was a tiny-tot! It is exceptionally creamy and the first time, I used way too much! You need the smallest amount to get the desired results. This formula is suitable for anyone, really, but I’d highly recommend it for dry or dehydrated skin, especially with the winter months headed our way.
I was worried that by using the cleanser on the daily basis, it would make my skin oily, especially as the formula is very hydrating. But that wasn’t the case! It is gentle on the skin and kept my usual winter woes far away. I also like applying it a little thicker, to use it as a mask, leaving it on for about 20 minutes, before rinsing off. It did the trick in creating supple, moisturised skin and even improved my dry patches that I get on my cheeks after a horrible breakout.
I can’t stress enough, how hydrating the formula is which is thanks to the fantastic combination of rose hip seed oil, coconut oil, rose wax and cocoa butter, after just one application my skin appeared more luminous and bright! Admittedly, I am trying to focus my skin regime on products like these which offer numerous benefits with the use of cleverly combined ingredients, that work together in delivering healthy, rejuvenated skin.
