17 Feb Bambino Mio causes a SPLASH!
I’d say that 70% of my parenting skills comes from the experience of having a sister when I was 10 years old. I was very observant of what my mom did and didn’t do, the brands she used and why she used them. It was only when I started blogging that I realized that what may have worked for my mom, won’t necessarily work for me due to a wide variety of factors. I look back in the last year at the amount of new launches and exciting things that I wish I had when I was pregnant and expecting – that’s only a year ago, now try thinking 10 years ago!
When my sister was born there were none of these fancy cloth diapers – there were disposables or old-school white cloth nappies, there was Johnson’s or Elizabeth Anne’s. NUK or Avent, Huggies or Pampers. One of the most frustrating things was when my sister started enjoying playing in water and swimming in the pool. I remember the constant battle of whether she should swim with no nappy and risk getting judgy-looks from the odd person walking by, or whether to let her swim in a disposable that would just weigh her down.
Axl is a water baby. I am surprised that he didn’t come out swimming – I am sure that if I opted for a home-birth he would’ve been all about that back-stroke. No, seriously – the kid loves water and if left alone for 2 minutes, you can expect to find him, bum and all, in the dog’s water dish. However, 10 years later, I sit with the same dilemma that my mom once faced. I could just as easily let him wear board shorts or a cozzie, but what if he wee’s while we’re busy outside?
Bambino Mio have launched an incredible range of uber-cute and trendy reusable swimming nappies and were so kind to send one over for Axl to use, this summer. I absolutely love how cute they look on his tiny bum!
Bambino Mio‘s reusable nappies are sized according to age and have the ability to tighten around the waist with the help of a drawstring. They come in a variety of colours that are bright and vibrant, just like summer! What makes them great is that they have a thin inner lining which saves you from that “what if” mentioned earlier. It’s made from quick-drying material so there’s no worry of making everything wet, when he comes inside, done with his swim. They fit is perfect and saw him through the whole of summer! Best part? No more stressing about when he gets out the pool, with a weighed down nappy just waiting to explode as he sits down!
