Tutorial: Summer Bright Makeup

When I first started blogging, I had started by uploading tutorials to YouTube. I abosultely love sharing my makeup looks with you, but recording and editing videos can take up a lot of time, and Axl needs my time, above anything. So I have decided to start sharing picture-guides of my makeup looks.
The first look that I will be sharing is my December go-to. This was the first year that I experimented with colours and even bigger… I wore lipstick, glosses and stains. So my go-to has become a bright and summery affair.
You will notice that a lot of the colours are from one palette, this was due to being on the go for the most part of our holiday season. Whether it was visiting family, travelling or staying the night, I was limited in time and space to use shadows and colours from different palettes.
0. Start by cleaning all your makeup or residue from your face, to ensure a good and clean application.
1. I started by lining my eye with a white eyeliner, this is to make the colours more vibrant and the eyeshadow tends to build-up better and last longer.
I used: Ralo Cosmetics Twist Pencil in White
2. I applied a white shadow to the inner corner of my eye, to open the eye up and make them seem bigger and brighter. From the middle of my eyelid, I worked a reddish pink, outwards.
I used: NYX Bohemian Chic Palette
3. Using the darkest maroon that I had, I applied it sparingly, in the crease of my lid and blended it well with the lighter red. By adding different tone, you create depth which can exaggerate your eyes.
I used: NYX Bohemian Chic Palette
4. I can’t leave home without my liner!
I used: Essence EyelinerPen
5. Cover those lashes in mascara for va-va-voom!
I used: Maybelline: The Collosal Go Extreme Volume
EYES – CHECK!
6. For my face, I have recently started using a brush to apply foundation.
I used: Catrice Nude Illusion Make Up in 020 Rose Vanilla

7. Give your cheeks that soft flush by combining a light coral on the lower part of your cheeks, and a pink on the higher part of your cheek.

I used: NYX Bohemian Chic Palette

8. Dare to be bold with your lips, and go bright! I lined my lips with a bright red, and filled in with a brighter pink, before dabbing a light pink eyeshadow on the centre of my lips to create a subtle ombre. Add a little gloss for a luscious look!

I used: Aura All Day Waterproof Gel Lip Liner in Cherry, Smashbox Always Sharp Liner in in Fuchsia, NYX Bohemian Chic Palette, NYX Buttergloss in BG05 Creme Brulee

Makeup Brushes: Aura
