09 Dec Dear Santa, all I want for Christmas…
It’s that time of year where Santa measures up whether you were naughty or nice. I got a feeling that with this wishlist, he will probably have a good chuckle before putting it in the pile with all the other hopefuls.
1. Anni King Laeken (Combo Pouch)
Anni King has made my heart skip a beat on more than one occasion this year. I browse through their recently launched online store, more often than I’d like to admit and found it ridiculously difficult to pick which bag, to as Santa for. After much consideration, I picked the one in my favourite colour! The Laeken (Combo Pouch) would be the perfect accessory to a number of my outfits, so we can skip me asking for a new wardrobe, for now. Available from Anni King Online
2. Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette
A little while back, Vanessa sent me my first Urban Decay Naked Basics palette for my birthday. I swore to myself that I would never become addicted – but it happened. I absolutely adore the pigment and quality of my little go-to, and really want to try the Naked 3 palette. Available from Hashtag Awesome
3. Mainstay Scented Candles
So, if you have been following me on Instagram, you will know all about these scented candles. They are made in the US and are MUCH cheaper than Yankee candles. They have a huge variety of scents and have even included a limited edition holiday-time range. Available from Makro for R69.95
4. Le Creuset Tea-For-One
I have been wanting one of these sets for ages and have FINALLY found somewhere that stocks them and I have been dying to start my own Le Creuset collection – 2 birds, 1 stone. I used to know a mad old lady who would refuse your cup of tea unless it was made in a teapot, I thought she was saying so just to be a nuisance, but as I have grown older, I have learnt to appreciate a good pot of tea. Available from Le Creuset Stores and Online
5. Zana ‘Kiss, Cuddle, Repeat’ Banner
I have already picked out the spot that I want to hang this banner. In my lounge, above the fireplace. It”s such a cute little wall piece that I adore. We are looking at moving in the new year, so although I know its place for this house, it is diverse enough to go with us. Available from Zana Online
6. Zana Small Pouch
So with all the makeup I intend on using as my own stocking-fillers, I will need a new pouch to carry my favourites in. While picking out the banner from before, I spotted this cute chevron pouch and thought it would go well with… anything! I could never have enough pouches with the amount of lippies and eyeliners I tend to carry with me and as a new years resolution, I’d like to stop misplacing my favourite glosses! Here’s my solution. Available from Zana Online
7. Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy
I have heard from sooo many bloggers that the gel-envy range from Revlon is the best! My mother-in-law recently put it to the test, and by test I mean… having her nails done while looking after 20 dogs. On day 10, I was impressed to find it was still neat and unchipped. FYI, my favourite shade is Hold Em. Available from Revlon counters and Spree Online
8. EOS Lip Balm
Another part of my birthday gift from Vanessa, was an EOS lip balm but sadly, it has finished! Hashtag Awesome has sooo many to choose from that I didn’t know where to begin, until I laid my eyes on the Sweet Mint variant. Everyone knows that if I could, I’d bath in a tub of minty delight. Available from Hashtag Awesome Online.
Well, it is no secret that I LUUUUURRVEE Catrice Cosmetics. They have a few new launches that I am beyond excited to give a try. You can read more about them in my recent post over here. Available from Dis-Chem and Spree Online.
9. Lip Smoother
10. Made-To-Stay Lip Polish
11. 3in1 Skintone Adapting Makeup
12. Nude Illusion Makeup
13. Fitbug Orb
So my ultimate gift this year, would be a Fitbug Orb (or something similar). Reason being, I am on a mission. No, it’s not a ‘New Year – New Me’ kinda thing. Because just typing that made me vomit a little. It’s more of a “I don’t want to be out of breath, when I teach my son to ride his bike for the first time” sorta thing! I recently downloaded Google Fit, which tracks your steps – problem is, despite popular belief, I don’t ALWAYS have my phone on me. Counting steps has become a bit of a game to me and I challenge myself each day, sure… I am not in the league to compete with some of the fitness bloggers I turn to. But coming from someone who hates any form of physical activity, a simple game like this is just what I need to make some changes in my lifestyle. Available from Clicks and Fitbug Online.
14. Take Charge Handbag
Guys, the struggle is real. The combination of load shedding and always having to take thousands of pics means the battery of my phone is usually non-existent. Introducing the oh-so fashion forward handbag that charges your phone. Instead of going with their bright and cute pouches, I went for the one that I would get the most use out of. As you know, my phone was stolen on my 21st birthday – and no, I wasn’t partying – I am a mom! I was busy shopping, when someone took my phone from the pram. Since then, I have been ridiculous when it comes to keeping a small hand bag on me, to keep my phone and wallet close by. This bag matches the criteria, plus.. it’s black! It can be worn with everything and anything. Available from Take Charge Online.
